Officials obviously did some more research and turned up information that indicated she was a supporter of Taiwan’s right to independence. She has evidently been seen waving a Taiwanese flag at concerts. The Chinese are notorious in their efforts to research visiting artists to find out if they’ve done anything offensive to the nation.
