Iguacu Falls

Ipanema

Ipanema is one of the most famous beaches in Brazil because of its picturesque look and amazing waves. Surfers love this place. Ipanema has entered the history of world music and cultural history with the song written by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes: “The Girl from Ipanema” (“Garota de Ipanema”), which was masterfully performed by famous Frank Sinatra.

Once you well tired with walking through Rio, a great idea is to get a cup of coffee and cake and take a break in the most famous café in the city, “Confeitaria Colombo”. This place is extremely popular both among Cariocas and the tourists, so one need to patiently wait for a free table. The cafe opened in 1894, in the Belle Epoque era with a spacious main hall in the style of Art Nouveau, lined with mirrors in wrought iron and Portuguese tiles on the floors.
